Has this ever happened to you?
You get into the details of your work, your life, your responsibilities and you completely lose the time, the spark, the desire to do the work which brings you such happiness and fulfillment? I have first hand experience with the phenomena.
Summer came and with it a long list of chores. Yes I created this list, but every item was necessary! None of the chores were particularly creative or artistic unless you call sorting out the garage creative. Yeah, me neither.
The good news is that the chore list is done. Completely. Now I'm doubling down on regaining my creative momentum. The effort seems to be working. I'm composing this, okay?
My beloved summer index card a day ritual: I'm participating although at a fraction of my former productive pace. I will overcome with one index card at a time, and I will stop comparing myself to the past myself. What I managed to create on index cards the past three summers was amazing.
My pursuit of creativity, the topic of this blog: I resolve to look for something every day in my world that makes me want to share it with you at least once a week.
