Happiness: ICAD3

My collage "Perfect Opportunity"
For Daisy Yellow's
Index Card a Day prompt 'happiness'--

I thought this would be the 'perfect opportunity'
for me to show you what brings me great happiness:

Aloha, Friends!
I'm going The Stylish Studio old school
and cutting up the Hawaiian calendars and magazines I've been collecting and cherishing
since we left the Islands in the late 1980's for the mainland.
My Amazing Creative Son and I returned twice to Honolulu for Spring Breaks
before the bottom fell out of the economy.
We've been staying close to home when it comes to travel these days.
So I travel in my imagination for ICAD3!
Materials used:
*a 3"x5" index card painted with blue and white acrylic paints
*Hawaiian calendar and magazine cut outs
*greeting card paper scrap
*decorative and painted paper scraps
*random letters cut from somewhere that "spoke to me"
*sewing machine for stitching
*glue stick and scissors
