For Daisy Yellow's
Index Card a Day art challenge
I created this collage from several layers of paper:
a greeting card of red flowers,
green decorative paper,
manila folder and
blue acrylic painted index cards.
The greeting card was cut into strips and glued to a blue painted index card.
I cut windows shapes into the manila folder paper, and glued it over my blue painted index card with flower strips.
Unsatisfied with the effect, I cut it all into rectangular strips and reassembled them out of order for a totally different look. That was so unexpected of me! But a delightful thing happened:
I mounted the blocks over an index card I had previously covered in green decorative paper
and outlined the manila folder shapes with colored pencils.
