Creative and Easy Random Lettering

I'm so very fond of random letters cut from magazines as you see in my index card art here:

and here:

I like the juxtaposition of the slightly wonky letters. 

 Outlining my cut out letters with oil pastels is how I finish my block letters 
that I've applied to the piece with a glue stick. 

I have a box full of letters I've collected for future random lettering.  It's quite fun and addicting!
  I even prefer certain magazines for their style of fonts.  See, didn't I tell you it's fun!

If you don't want to go to the trouble of searching through magazine after magazine 
looking for the perfect letters for your message try 
~Cheryl Gee is really into typography.  She's also into letters with cool fonts cut from magazines, glue sticks, oil pastels and 3 x 5" index cards.
