This painting was done on pages of an old book as part of my first painting class ever:
Daisy Yellow Art Blog's: Museum of Simple Things
"Alter a Book Into a Journal"
Technique: "Photo Inspired Painting"
I pasted pages of an old hardback book together with matte medium and a paint brush
to create a canvas for painting. A piece of wax paper between the glued pages
helps a book not get glued where you don't want.
In the bottom right corner you see
the original magazine photograph that inspired my painting exercise.
The photo is from an old AAA magazine article about an art gallery in Lubbock, Texas.
I used acrylic paints and every bit of logic I could to paint what I saw in the photo.
